Seto no Hanayome – 18
Comment: Seto no Hanayome - Ep18 - Now with 300% more quality and 1000% more eechi & hentai!!! @_@
That was the description I read when I first saw Seto available on Tosho, and I thought to myself, "Meh." It starts off pretty normal just like any other episode, but things start heating up during a particular scene, somewhere at the beginning which was a hint to what that comment was referring to(hehe)
Anyway, the show kicks off with Gozaburo announcing to the entire class that they will be going on a field trip to Kyoto. After arriving at their destination and visiting the Pure Water Temple, Nagasumi gets some rare alone time with Shiranui as San spends time with her family.

The entire family album consists of similiar images.
As they stroll the temple compounds, Shiranui shares some of her experiences traversing Japan as a transfer student as her occupation requires it, and manages to break into a smile, much to Nagasumi's surprise. Everything goes well until Maki, ambushes the pair and sprays water on Shiranui, in an attempt to make her transform into her mermaid form. As a sign of her strong will, Shiranui resists the effects of water, albeit with much difficulty. From the audience's point of view, it simply looks like she's getting horny. Yeah, there, I said it.

Wet Tsundere = WIN!

Angry, flustered Tsundere on verge of tears = WINx9001!
Maki's actions are interrupted and is caught by San, although at this point Shiranui assumes it was Nagasumi's plan all along and is mad at him. Moving on, after a really funny exchange between the trio sardine fish guys with the innkeeper and fanservice scene between Mawari and the class president, we finally arrive at the best point of the episode when Shiranui approaches San to discuss something.

Why not?
So you see, Shiranui wants San's company so they can both attempt to keep their mermaid transformation even after making contact with water. With the utmost bad timing, both Mawari and Nagasumi walk past the room the pair were both in and overheard a conversation that sounded like they wanted to lez out or something.

If you know what I mean.
Mawari, being the self righteous person she is, takes it upon herself to stop their inpure actions (...) and barges in while they were training, so to speak. Then, after a spectacle that you can only see once in your life, Nagasumi quickly drags Mawari out of the bath and orders her to and I quote "Just look at me and not chase this any further" which surprisingly enough worked and Mawari obediently nodded her head as though Nagasumi confessed(sounded like he did to her). And thus, San and Shiranui's identities were kept safe.

An unusually moe moment from Mawari.
With his actions, he has regained Shiranui's trust, with the incident earlier in the day all but forgotten, leaving her somewhat impressed. Nagasumi earned 5 Love Points! Shin out.
Zero no Tsukaima S2 – 04
Yes! The episode I've been waiting for a long time coming finally gets released! Hinted in magazines like Newtype ages ago, we know that Louise's sisters will be introduced at one point of the show, embodying one of the anime female archetypes that one would identify with ease after a while. So indeed, we are introduced to not only the sisters but the entire family, including Louise's mother and father. Urk. Anyway, appearing within seconds of the first episode, we have, Eleanor, a bespectacled super tsundere(even more extreme compared to Louise and that's saying a lot) and goes to the magic academy to drag Louise back home in order for the latter to be betrothed.

No prizes for guessing what happens next...
With both Saito and Siesta in tow, we arrive at the Valière's mansion to be greeted by Louise's other sister, the soft spoken, gentile, sickly yet "healthy" (if you know what I mean) Cattleya who immediately peaks Saito's interest with her, uh, physique.

Vegeta, what does the scouter say about her tsundere level?

A walking pillar of turn-ons.

Mom

Dad
We then turn our attention to the melancholic Siesta, who comments on the lack of progress in Saito and Louise's relationship and that she is Louise's equal as women. She acknowledges her own breast size extraordinary points and feels she has a fighting chance(you go girl!) The best part of the show is the encounter between Siesta and Louise in Saito's room when both of them sneak into his room. Well, I think this image best explains what happens.

Indeed.
Speaking of encounters, Saito himself gets himself into a bind when he accidentally walks into Eleanor's room. Uh oh. Moving on, after a word of advice from Cattleya, Saito walks up to Louise and expresses his love for her (awww) and they both start making out on a boat (woot!) Of course, just before they get to the "main event" the boat runs aground, and are surrounded by Louise's parents (whoops) Of course, being badass he is, Saito draws his sword with one hand and runs off with Louise with the other.

You lost me

He's pimp, that's what he is.
Good episode, simply because we get to see the entire family and that yuri scene. Also, we get to see more of the two sisters in later episodes(thank god), and judging from the preview, which looks to be another exciting episode as well. Shin out.
Lucky Star – 16
Usually, there's no real reason for me to cover this show, since the story is very straightforward and easy to comprehend even without subs. Which is why I'm not going to summarize this week's episode and just let the screencaps do the talking.

Interestingly enough, Tsukasa herself realizes she bears resemblance to To Heart's Akari Kamigishi, which is then again not so surprising, since she was given given the same outfit the latter wore back in one of the episodes. Also, it was pretty neat to see Konata don Haruhi's outfit and even changing her voice back and fro from Konata to Haruhi when she was taking down the orders from her friends. Then of course there's the impromptu Hare Hare Yukai dance though we don't get to see much of it. And then there's Akira's concert. LAWL. Shin out.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann – 17
If Gurren Lagann was a girl, I want to marry her. That's how much I love this awesome series. Fast forward into the future seven years, or year 7 AK(After Kamina) if you will, after the fall of Lord Genome, we see the humans finally living in peace on the surface in the capital city of Kamina. There is so much to cover in this episode alone that I have no clue where to begin, but I'll cover whatever I can.

Princess Nia, as beautiful as ever 7 years on. Wonder if her cooking has improved since...

Rossiu isn't convinced....
Well for one, the technology has drastically advanced since then that people live in suburbs and apartments similiar to today's world, with gadgets like the television, radio and even cellphones.

To think these people were either nomads or living underground just 7 years ago...
Of course, this peace doesn't last and we get a first glimpse of trouble, when the now immortal Viral dukes it out with Grapals (a new type of Ganmens made by the humans) and is defeated by Darry and Gimmy, the two kids who left their village along with Rossiu who are now formidable warriors. Interestingly enough, Viral is fighting to protect the very humans he once despised, who are being evicted from their homes beneath the surface, under the orders of Rossiu. Viral tells Simon he is no different from Lord Genome, shocking the latter. Simon then questions Rossiu's actions, creating a verbal conflict between the two.

Alignment: Lawful Evil
The shit hits the fan the moment the human population hits the 1,000,000 mark as forewarned by Lord Genome, when an unknown mecha originating from the moon descends upon the city and wreaks havoc, killing thousands. The Grapals launch, to engage the new enemy without much effect. Simon then arrives to take it out, but unfortunately the impending explosion causes collateral damage that destroys everything within a large radius. Rossiu, who was against Simon's decision to engage the enemy then places the commander in chief under martial arrest. As if that wasn't bad enough, the arrival of the new nemesis also triggers some sort of reaction within Nia who is now taken over and is now the messenger of the Han-Rasen, an anti spiral race(whatever that means) which probably means more people are going to die. Oh shit. Shin out.

The Destroyer Cometh.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai – 03
This episode serves as a prelude to events of the Watanagashi festival where Rika will be killed yet again. As it was last season, we bear witness to things that take place a few days before that faithful day, cheerful little events that heavily contrast the gruesome fate that will befall our cute little Rika, who despite knowing the outcome, puts on a brave front and takes everything to stride.

Hauu~ Omochikaeri!

Just As Keikaku* Translator's Note: Keikaku means plan.

Thus spoke Keiichi, hero amongst men.
Interestingly enough, we get to see Rika having a conversation with Hanyuu(voiced by Yui Horie) who is like a ghost/guardian angel that is with her all the time on her inevitable fate. Having said that, despite being the solution arc, I don't know how they are going to tie things up so I guess we'll leave that for next week. Shin out.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei – 02
Oh man, this is easily my most favorite show this season so far. It would seem at the beginning of each episode, the Pink Supervisor will attempt to take his own life(as usual) only to be stopped(only to worsen things) by Fuura and then utters that one hypocritical line.

Then the show will be over and I'd have nothing to watch. ;_;
In a way, this show is a twisted and demented harem show (to put it simply) where each and everyone of the girls have some sort of weird characteristic, ranging from ever-so-positive Fuura, the shy but extremely moe hikkikomori Komori, obsessive compulsive Kitsu to stalker Tsunetsuki.

SO MOE I'M GONNA DIE!
At first glance, it would seem that our Pink Supervisor will deal with each of these girls and their distinct personalities in his callous, empathetic nature, which ironically works, and bonds them together in some way, albeit with funny results. Another great thing about this show is Fuura and her inane logic as to explain the dysfunctional personalities of some of the girls. For example, refusing to acknowledge the fact Komori is indeed a shut-in, Fuura simply states that she is actually a demon and prevents her from leaving her room while Tsunetsuki's stalking behavior is justified as "pure love" ORZ

UR DOING IT WRONG!

I don't think so, Tim.
As it was the previous episode, the show is laden with subtle references to other shows, be it Death Note, Code Geass or even Lucky Star, which makes the show more enjoyable (I'm a sucker for in show references)

ZOMG KONNA-CHAN!!111
What else can I say? I love this show, but I'm going to go watch Lucky Star now. Shin out.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei – 01
What you get if Satou-kun of Welcome to the NHK was a teacher who's gloomier than usual and is on the verge of suicide. The show starts off with our protagonist, Nozomu Itoshiki, attempting suicide by hanging himself in a park only to be saved by Kafuka Fuura, a happy-go-lucky high school girl who can see only the positive things in life. So, a chanced meeting that should have never occured then?

Tried and tested.
And so, she manages to talk him out of it(for the time being anyway) and from the preceding conversation, their vastly contrasting personalities show as Fuura names him the Pink Supervisor and shares her past experiences about her parents which is nothing short of amusing(in a gloomy way)

So he was hanging himself because he was...
We later find out he turns out to be a homeroom teacher at her school, and we're given an insight of how he acts around his students, spreading his gloominess and hopelessness about. We also discover the origins behind the show's unfortunate title.

And you thought you had an awful name.
That pretty much concludes the first episode, although they managed to include some fanservice shots in between.

Most annoying form of censorship since Cover Crows from Air Gear. Instant boner-killer. :@
A pretty good show judging from the first episode, with its dark sense of humor akin to NHK and stylized animation. Episode 2 is out as I post this(I usually get hold off 1 or 2 episodes before I start a new series) so I guess I'll stop now and start watching. Shin out.
