Once every 4 years, Heroic Spirits known as Athletes from across the lands will gather to compete to the death in order to obtain the Holy Gold Medal, a legendary artifact capable of granting wishes and effectively immortalize their names as the greatest Athletes that have ever graced the Earth. We're all aware of anime archetypes; characters that have a set of generic personality traits that you see prevalent in every anime. While it's impossible to list them all in one seating, why not instead look around you to see if you can apply the very same concept in real life; on anime fans, in this case, female ones.

Note to self: read up on the event before making assumptions and having false expectations. I cannot say I was disappointed because it wasn't even supposed to be what I had initially thought; a mini version of Wonderfes. Instead, I was greeted with stuff for a totally different sect of nerds, which is why I felt so out of place. Luckily, wolfx and his buddies were there so, I hung out with them while I watched them enthusiastically drone on and on about brands I've never even heard of prior to the event.

While I've always fancied myself as someone who's well versed with anime releases, a trip to my local bookstore(of all places) proved how wrong I was. Lying there in the pile of anime DVDs were titles that looked familiar but were either sequels and spinoffs that I've never even heard of nor were they listed in places like ANN.
