Kiyoh's kid eventually grew up on Earth. As nightfall approached, the stars would glow brighter than ever, since Kiyoh moved out of the bright Kamina City to escape the raucous involved with city life. Her child would look out of their cabin, up at the twinkling stars, the vast sky containing a new world the child couldn't even begin to fathom.

She would excitedly stare into the starry night and ask, "Why do the stars twinkle?"
Kiyoh would smile and laughingly reply, "That's the fighting spirit of the ones fighting for our future."

Her daughter would slowly tilt her head to one side and inquire, "How far away are the stars, Mommy?"
Kiyoh would gently take a glimpse at the sky and say, "Far, far away. The lights from the stars take years to rea-"

And as she spoke, a star began to fall. One at first. Then two at once. Then two that appeared to be stuck to each other. Stars continued to streak throughout the sky, disappearing into the black night, their warm aura gradually fading into black. Seconds passed, and the stars continued to fall in greater amounts.

The child beamed at the sky, exclaiming, "Look Mommy! The stars! They're falling..."

A raindrop plopped on her head. Lightly touching her hair where the raindrop landed, she looked up to her mother. Her mother was glaring into the night sky, her eyes desperately and silently pleading to the stars. She should have known years ago, but she refused to believe her instincts, and she silenced her inner cries and warnings until now. As tears were rolling down her face, she asked, "Do... do you remember Uncle Kittan?"

The child gave returned an odd look at first, in confusion of her mother's tears. She was unsure of what to say, but she eventually stammered out a, "N-n...no..."

Kiyoh kneeled down, hugged her child, gasping for breath in between cries of sorrow. She planted her face into her child's hair, her tears matting the hair upon her face. Glancing up to the sky again, she saw the largest star in the sky fade away. And in her mind, she saw the greatest star, the King Kittan, slowly fade away as well. - Anonymous

Beautiful World

The 'full' version of Beautiful World, though I'm not sure if it's official or anything. Some clips are recycled as much as 3 times, making it look pretty fanmade. -_- But even if the video gets a tad repititive, the song doesn't, it's currently stuck in my head (argh) and makes for pretty good study music.

I'm not an obsessed fan of Eva, but some how I just can't wait for subs or DVD. The animation looks pretty good and polished up, that's already a major plus factor. Topped up with what Eva is famous for...mind-bending concepts and intriguing psychology, not to mention controversy--it's going to be a great ride down momery lane for the long-time hardcore fans. Maybe I'm slow, but I had to read the Wiki entry on Instrumentality trice before I got the gist of it.

.......(three times??)...

Ok maybe I am slow. -_- midniteblu out.

Kudos to NCHProductions for coming up with a well-made parody flash of the current anime clampdown in Singapore.

Word Of The Day : QUALITY

Posted by Shin

Not to be mistaken for quality, the word QUALITY originated from /a/ and is used to describe images and/or screen captures from anime that horrendously poor and sub-par in nature from various aspects. Obvious signs of such QUALITY can usually be seen on characters, who usually have, and not limited to, distortions in facial features(non intentional), eyes that look into the wrong direction, limbs that are out of proportion and so on. QUALITY also applies to various environmental objects with odd perspective issues or as seen in Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na with what /a/ calls the QUALITY CABBAGE, which lacks resemblance to a real cabbage whatsoever. Signs of QUALITY can nowadays be seen in animes such as Naruto and Bleach, especially during filler episodes. More examples as follows;

Word Of The Day : Weaboo

Posted by Shin

A negative term directed to anyone overly obsessed with Japanese culture to the point where they become annoying.Used frequently on the image boards of 4chan.

Most weaboos are uneducated about their obsession of choice and are often noobs who are overly zealous, trying to impress others with their otaku knowledge. Another trait of a weaboo is their desire to "be Japanese".

While the two terms are often fused together, weaboos are very different from anime fans or enthusiasts. A fan may be just as enthusiastic and knowlegable
about Japanese culture, mainly anime, but they neither boast about their knowledge nor call themselves otaku(because of its known negative connatation). - UrbanDictionary.com
