Shikabane Hime: Aka

It started off as an ordinary action horror anime, until after two episodes in, I realized that perhaps it might been asking a profoundly thought provoking question; If you came across a corpse that was rather fetching, would you have your way with it?<strike> As long it's still warm, I say</strike>. New fetishes aside, the plot unfortunately has little to do with necrophilia, but rather focuses more towards necromancy, as a schoolgirl, who has a tendency to die in every episode only to be brought back in no time at all, has to go about killing the undead. There isn't much else going for it, but I was interested enough to keep going though unfortunately the series has been de-listed off the usual source because of this. I want my HQ releases and not have to pay for it!

Michiko to Hatchin

This somehow reminded me of the ill-fated El Cazador in terms of setting and characters, though sadly, the latter didn't turn out really well. Far from being awful, it's been a while since I met such a female lead as RAG as Michiko, and her encounter(reunion?) with Hatchin/Hana pretty much confirmed it, though she could have been a lot more verbally profane and wielding dual berettas, like that pirate chick from a certain show. While not the best of first episodes, there's enough here to keep you wanting to come back for more, as the two leads who couldn't be any more different in personality and appearance, which makes you wonder how their adventure together is going to turn out, which I hope is going to be something akin to Grand Theft Mexico; where Hana will look up to her Aneki as the two go around doing stuff while fending off the authorties. Raw Raw Fight The...Law! If Michiko dies midway, I'm dropping this shit faster than me sitting in the toilet with diarrhea. Then again, if she does, it would probably be an impetus for Hana to grow up.

Tytania

I was laughing throughout the entire show, though mostly for the wrong reasons. They weren't kidding when they said this was going to be a soap opera in space as it was an amalgamation of what I got from watching Children of Dune on the Hallmark channel and playing Sins of a Solar Empire, a real time strategy game, set in, you guessed it, space. People have been telling me this resembles Legend of the Galatic Heroes, a rather antiquated production which I'm not going to bother because I'm a newfag. Instead, I'm going to annoy the same bunch of people and perhaps a lot more by declaring Tytania as Code Geass. In space. The antagonists featured here a bunch of warmongering tea sippers donning rather fabulous outfits that wouldn't be out of place from Code Geass. With absolute domination over the outer frontier, the Tytanians are so fearsome that the Emperor is soiling his breeches, that poor chap. Enter the rogue commander of a small fleet, who turns out to be the only soul who dare defy these people, even winning a skirmish with some good old Keikaku Doori'ing. He's even voiced by Kamina. I'm pretty much sold! And it didn't even take the cute, trappish looking princess to reel me in, though seeing her suck on her finger was rather arousing.

Next installment, an all shoujo lineup(?!)
