HK CityU AkiFest 2008 Cosplays – Shana

Well, this doujin market took place back in early October, but I was too lazy to bother writing a post.
In terms of scale, it was much smaller than the one I went to earlier, so there wasn't actually much interesting doujin which I haven't already seen in the other one. Besides, I came mainly to take photos of the cosplayers. (Not to mention I tried to find a website for this event, but it's already taken down. )
Anime Festival Asia – Day 01

So nice to be down south yet again, barely 6 months since the last time I was here for a different event, which was similar in scale(same place even), but hardly relevant to my interests, though in retrospect, it was really my fault for having the wrong set of expectations to begin with, but I digress. That said, and being a pessimist, I was a little wary and didn't want to hope too much out of this event, though I can happily say now that it was nothing but unwarranted apprehension.
Thoughts and feelings on AFA08

HOLY SHIT. My hand could not stop shaking when i took this pic.
The following post might contain some RAGE and unsavoury words. Viewer discretion is advised. Though more often than not humans have no discretion.
I’m Going Down South, Gonna Have Myself A Time. Friendly Faces Everywhere…

With mundane real life responsibilities out of the way, I can now finally take a breather and return to being a full time otaku again! However, instead of catching up on the huge backlog of shows, I've been prepping for the much anticipated Anime Festival Asia. Will be heading down south to Singapore for the event on Friday, so no updates till Tuesday at least. Expect a half decent coverage but with far better looking photos this time around, since I'll be banking on my girlfriend Setsuna(who bought a Diamond VIP Pass for himself but not for me
) to take those shots, though I'm bringing an el cheapo digicam just to be on the safe side. Looking forward to meeting fellow Singaporean anibloggers for real this time, and perhaps even bed one or two. Anyway, I need to go pack my stuff, so see you guys when we return with the full report.
A new servant and some other stuff.

Allow me to introduce msyself. I am but a humble servant that goes by the alias of Setsuna-san or just Setsuna. My origins are unimportant as i now serve the master of this blog. I will be the master's photographyslave as i have a meager proficiency in photography and i shall take photos of him crossdressing and posting it here for teh lulz. Other than that i will be doing some figurine reviews once in awhile and also some episodic blogging as my master sees fit. Right, lets proceed to today's topic.
A warning: the following post might not be SFW.
Less Is More. More Or Less.

Quite arguably the most earth-shattering discovery since I found out that pretty girls actually do fart(Damn you, Mythbusters!!) My raison d'etre, my beliefs, everything that I've stood for..... All rendered obsolete by this one flawless explanation. My preference for small breasts have been proven to be nothing but a farce! The fact that I snub those who take a liking toward females with large bosoms makes this hurt even more, as they can now use it against me! I don't know if I can look at delicious flat chests the same way ever again. 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。
I’m Groping Your Breasts Because I Care

Many a times in anime, females react negatively whenever another person makes direct or in-direct physical contact with their breasts, or lack thereof in Louise's case. Most may consider it as an act of perversion on the perpetrator's behalf, or in other words, an element of fanservice for the anime viewer. But if you were to look past all the negativities, there might just be an underlying message that the anime in question is trying to convey, which is by virtue of possessing anything more significant than a flat chest, an anime female is at risk of having breast cancer. As such, the gropings in the various anime, usually undertaken by another female, is actually just that person being well aware of such risks and is assistanting their female counterpart by checking for tumors.
ComicWorld Hong Kong 2008
Hi guys, this is Kinny Riddle, and today I'll be your guest writer today after being invited to write by Shin. First off, much apologies to Shin for the delay, for this event occurred in late August.
ComicWorld Hong Kong (or CWHK) is a doujinshi-selling event held every 6 months in HK. Once in February and once in August. It's been around since 1998, so this is it's 10th anniversary. While still small in scale compared to THE Comiket in Japan or even the well-organized Comicworld in Taiwan, the numbers are still formidable. Though this is my first time ever visiting one, as I know someone who runs a circle there, and so went to have a look.
This video was taken in CWHK last August, this was taken some time during the afternoon. The ridiculously long queue (and in the sweltering humid August heat as well) had more to do with the poor organizational skills of the organizers than the lack of space inside the hall.
