As I backup data from my desktop due to an unforeseen need to reformat, I'm going about the blogosphere to see what people thought about Code Geass' seemingly open-ended conclusion, in regards to Lelouch's fate. Both sides of the argument come off as convincing, to me at least, though I do not have an actual opinion on it myself partly due to how the questions that lingered my mind were already answered. I've decided to instead attempt to please both crowds and concoct my own conclusion, which should address the two key issues; Lelouch being dead and him being with C.C on the hay cart.

I couldn't care less what the Zero Re;quiem is(as intrigued as I am on the inappropriately placed semi column) What I really want to know is whether or not Rivalz is ever going to get laid. No, it does not grant him the ability to speak in the human tongue, but instead, it allows him to tranfer his own soul to another living being just like Marianne's, though after losing his original body, he now resides within that of a black cat. I bet he's also been observing and reporting all of Lelouch's actions to his superior from a clandestine organization, but now swears allegiance to the one true Fabulous Emperor.

Is it me, or is this the first time in the history of Code Geass that Lelouch has an actual conversation with Nina, who seemed to have put her vendetta behind her? And here I thought women were the most vindictive creatures on the face of the planet

Also, it's too bad Guilford's blind now, since the Geass placed on him, which I assume is still in effect, could lead to interesting things if he ever meets up with Lelouch again.

Holy shit, is this the same Lelouch vi Britannia that lost to Millay in a sprint across the school compound? He ran up all the way to Schneizel's control room, Geass'ed the soldiers, made the meticulously timed recording AND get to the plane before it took off. Lelouch must have been working out a lot lately. And way to spit on a dying man who used to be your biggest fanboy, Lulu.

Also, was I the only one who felt sorry for Schneizel? While he was a jerk, he's not much more of a villain compared to Lelouch. Then there's his greater sex appeal. The closest we ever got to an evil laughter was that half hearted chuckle that he belted out, and even that was because he was amused by Lelouch's antics more than anything else, which led to his downfall. Here's to the endgame boss that never was; Schneizel el Britannia. He's going to be spending the rest of his life being Lelouch's boy toy, a far cry from the death he sought after. You'd think he'd use those YEAH™ shades I gave him for Valentine's from being Geass'ed but I guess like other bad guys before him, he lost out to complecancy.

As he penetrates Nunnally's secret garden, nothing could prepare Lelouch for what he was about to discover, as Nunnally welcomes her brother with that familiar expression. That slut! Disillusioned with what he saw, Lelouch comes to an ultimatum and decides to disown his own sister and gives out the order which he would live to regret for the rest of his life:

By now, with Sunrise pulling out so much shit from their asses, the revelation of Nunnally being able to overcome Charles' Geass and regaining her vision in the process should come as no suprise. Still, it's not to say that it was anti-climatic, since it does sets up the finale pretty nicely now that Lelouch can end it all by Geass'ing his sister.

Having read Nightmare of Nunnally many moons ago, I came up with this to see if the plot could run parellel with the anime. In the manga, NUNNALLY contracts a Geass of her own, which allows her to predict the future, though if it's limited to combat like Bismarck's remains to be seen. Either way, Lelouch not only has to contend with his sister's newfound powers.

The fact that the package NUNNALLY signed up for provides her with a state of the art Knightmare Frame which is on par if not more advanced compared to the Albion or Guren, grants NUNNALLY the ability to go head to head with Suzaku and Kallen. In case you're wondering, the image is a modification of Naked Jehuty from Zone of the Enders 2, which incidentally refers their mecha as Orbital Frames,  found in all places, Jupiter. Don't even get me started on the similarities in design. See the connection? If you don't do yourself a favor and at read the manga. Better yet, play Zone of the Enders 2, even if it won't actually give you a better understanding of Code Geass; it's still the best mecha action game ever created. Please, Hideo Kojima, make Z.O.E 3 already.

I applaud Lelouch for being able to look his beloved sister in the eye(?) and sound all callous. He manages to seal away all that heartbreak and contempt from watching his ungrateful and treacherous little sister rejecting all that he has done for her. Instead of explaining himself, Lelouch metaphorically sticks out his middle finger at Nunnally with his caustic words.

"Just because you're at the top does not mean you get to go on top, Lelouch."

In line with the show's nature, the entire conversation was laced with sexual innuendos, whether it is Suzaku reminding Lelouch to stay homorelentless and stick the game plan, whatever that may be, despite Nunnally being well and alive, to Suzaku likening himself as The Sword to Lelouch's Sheath. No, really.

This is what Sunrise think of the womenfolk in the series and the most appropriate manner to deal with them.

I couldn't believe me eyes when I saw this. Up to this point, I've always accepted whatever Sunrise threw in my face, though nothing could prepare me for this earth shattering revelation; there are actually people living in Australia.

A little known piece of trivia that even the self professed fangirl probably does not know about. Schneizel is a graduate from the MIT School of Engineering with first class honors in Mechanical Weapons Enplacement Engineering. He also likes sitting down by the campfire with his guitar, providing solutions to practical problems, such as dealing with mutinous siblings.

And here I was, expecting the series to stay true to its woefully over the top nature by dishing out some outrageous explaination as to how Nunnally and Sayoko survived the Pink Nuke, rather than a logically sound one. Still, the interaction between Orange and Ninja no Maid Lady was somewhat satisfying to watch, and it's hard not to root for the two. Seeing as how everyone else seems to be switching camps faster than Malaysian politicians, it's good to know that there are those whose allegiance never once wavered. Yes, a Sayoko x Orange-kun end would be so ridiculously awesome.

When everything is over, Jeremiah(almost forgot his real name!) and Sayoko will move to the countryside and start a family in their orange farm.

Rolled out by NEC Biglobe on Monday, the Japanese ISP has introduced a speech synthesizing service that allows users to come up with their own spoken dialogue with the voices of Code Geass R2 characters, namely Lelouch and C.C. And if you're me, you'd be all over this, since you can now make Lelouch say "I Love You, Suzaku" for real. And if you're not, there's the opportunity create personalized message tones.

Here's a step by step guide by me and hoshi.

Registration

First head over to the homepage and click on the link on the top right.

Click on this big shiny red button in the next page, where you'll be taken to the registration form. For your location be sure to select "その他" for "Others".

Once you're done, head over to your inbox where you'll be required to click on the activation link.

Login with your email and password and you're good to go.

Creation

Now here comes the fun part:

On the left sidebar in the main page you have a choice between C.C and Lelouch, though for the purpose of this tutorial, let's go with the Pizza Witch.

First textbox is where you will key in the title of your creation(no more than 30 characters) while the one below is for the speech itself(no more than 15 characters). Obviously you have to type in moonrunes, though the developers have programmed certain English words like "love", "what", "the" and so on, so feel free to use them, and if they're not in the database, you'll find the voices uttering the alphabets individually.

Your initial outcome is most likely going to be nothing more than a crudely synthesized voice file, which is why you're going to have to fine tune it by clickin on the first of the 3 options you see above.

Watching Odie being treated like this has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Unlike his other power crazed siblings, Odie was a gentle and soft spoken soul who took things easy. Kinda like me. You'd think that Sunrise was playing the race card and all by killing off the sole black Knights of Rounds who's supposedly able to go toe to toe with Bismarck in under 30 seconds of her appearance, but nope, this is what happens when you have a team of gynophobics as writers. Let's see, they let Luciano live for more than 2 episodes, killed off his Valkryie squad just as fast as Dorothea, and allowed Gino to survive Jesusaku's onslaught. This pattern's pretty obvious to everyone now, I guess.  Either that, or they're trying to cut down costs in this episode by not having to come with mecha designs for the two now deceased female pilots, even if Pizza Hut decided to sponsor them again.

Even Moenica wasn't spared. Moenica.... I just noticed she was voiced by Yuko Goto, which probably spelt her death a long time ago.

I confess. Even though I had never liked Suzaku, I was totally blown away by his slice the opponent into half one hit kill technique which had me squealing like a 14 year old fanboy playing FFVIII and watching Odin appear on the battlefield for the first time. Bismarck never stood a chance.

The QUALITY in this episode is simply astounding, despite, as mentioned earlier, Pizza Hut's decision to become sponsors  again. Where on Earth has the budget gone to? Cornelia's looking awfully cool here, that judging from the nine square panel you see above, you'd think that this was Hollywood Squares: Code Geass edition, participated by nine Cornelia lookalikes, which sadly bear little resemblance to the real Princess. Wonder if the resident Cornelia onee-sama fanboy noticed?

The Emperor's new clothes! Look at that bitchin' headgear that would make even ZUN proud, that panty moistening hand wave which puts Queen Elizabeth's to shame. I have a sudden urge to rape Lelouch's hat and jizz all over it.

Well, excuse me for ruining the one moment that Kallen x Lulu fans have waited over 40 episodes for. Let's face it, the kiss had no emotions to it and was more an kick in the groin for the supporters of this pairing more than anything else, even if it was to bid farewell. Like how these girls who represent the fanbase here have reacted, Lelouch's liplock with Suzaku is by far more exciting.

Either way it's hilarious that Nunnally decides to go against Lelouch, probably after being fed with Schneizel's lies and half truths. And here I thought only the Elevens were stupid. Silly girl, how do you fight against something you can't see? Unless of course, they pull a Nightmare of Nunnally on us.

The only anamoly now, I guess, would be Nunally's "unforeseen" revival.

You know I've sunk to the lowest depths of perversion when I got hard just from looking at that slit even though it's not what I think it is. This is what I hope the afterlife has in store for me.

I suspected that she had that devil-may-care attitude, but I never expected Marianne to be so carefree and indifferent, despite finally reuniting with the son who went on a warpath of vengeance partly for her sake. After all those years she couldn't even at least give Lelouch a warm motherly embrace. Instead, she twirls around like giddy little girl and courtsies thereafter. There are some things that you just don't do for the lulz.

Oh wow. A giant Geass on a gas giant. I know how much Sunrise loves pulling shit out of their asses, but this scene practically takes it to new heights.

My heart ached during this scene, not so much as me sympathizing for Charles and Marianne, but the fact they disintegrated in a rather melancholic and poignant fashion akin to how Nia died during the last episode of Gurren Lagann.  Unlike the latter, the pair's demise were rather hilarious to say the least, seeing as how the producers quite literally erased the two of them out of the show, having served their purpose.

Disregarding the fact he uttered an oxymoron and that his body is dissipating pixel by pixel, Charles delieves his coup de grâce by transforming into his final form and at the same time giving birth to a new meme:

Okay. That was silly, though if you at least know who these two are, it does make sense somehow....

Ever taunted by a sexually dominant person who's aware of how desperately you want them, yet knowing full well that you're too much of coward to attempt anything? Never have I been so humiliated in my life when Lelouch teased us by uncrossing and crossing his legs. It's as though you can see something there, yet it happens so quickly that you're unable to actually register what you just witnessed. Then you realize you've played right into his hand. Argh.

You have to hand it out to Sunrise as they've clearly waited forever and a day to finally be able cash in on this whole Knight of Zero phrase. I guess this is what makes Code Geass still so entertaining for me, since as a whole it lacks the coherency and consistency to make it a true masterpiece, though when it comes to set pieces like these, few can match its awesomeness.

The million dollar question that begs answering. Homolust strikes again, dealing a heavy blow to not only Kallen's retirement plan but chances of her ever hooking up with Lelouch, but hey, she's got you to fall back on.

This is the face of a person who truly deserves the title of Demon King, unlike that black metal playing hillbilly. All that remains of the Utopia that both Nunally and Euphemia have desired is now Lelouch's fiendish playground which is embroiled in chaos and contempt. Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.

Also, you cannot unsee the cat ears on Lelouch's head.

PS Apparently Nunnally is well and alive, which probably means Schneizel is harnessing Nunnally's potential as a Knightmare Frame pilot in his secret training facility on Jupiter. She will pilot the F.L.E.I.A equipped Damocles and battle against Kallen and Suzaku.

Despite having gotten hold of this game way back when it was released circa March, I never got around playing this visual novel spinoff of the ever so popular Code Geass, solely due to my poor understanding of moonrunes. Giving it a go once again 5 months down the road, my comprehension of the Japanese language has only but slightly improved, which is still insufficient to truly savor this gem, though this time around, I had access to a 100% complete save file...

Of course, to say that I'm at a complete loss would be untrue either, since I've experience blindly navigating through other titles of the same genre, which has met with a decent amount of success, since my real failing is my inability to read, not so much as to listen. Either way, spending time on this on a rare Monday off proved to be a worthwhile endeavor, since there were tonnes of goodies for the fans, be it eye candy in terms of CG art or greater insight into the general plot(not that I could pick up on it, though there was one turn of events that had me shitting bricks) That said, I figured nobody would actually bother playing it, so here's a brief rundown of the overall game:

Just like every other dating sim,  players are treated to an opening sequence that's meant to give you a general idea of what the title is all about. Since this is after all, Code Geass, it doesn't need that much of an introduction, and the developers have decided to reuse R1's JIBUN WOOOO opening sequence, albeit with minor alterations:

You play as a faceless protagonist who doesn't know his own name until you decide it for him. This is actually justified in Lost Colors, since you suffer from amnesia and have no clue as to your real identity and background. However, a magazine scan revealed both the protagonist's face and name, and I must say, Rai is quite the stud, if I do say so myself!

Of course, this whole amnesia angle is really meant to set up the game for you, as you're required craft out your own story, through 4 key scenarios.

Code Geass

As the core component of the game regardless of scenario, relive the experiences from season 1 through the eyes of Lelouch.

Order Of The Black Knights

Join Zero in his struggle to liberate Area 11 from Britannia and get a chance to wear that fabulousugly tailor designedmass produced Black Knight excuse of a ragoutfit.

Holy Empire Of Britannia

Gino who? Jump at the chance at becoming a Knightmare Frame pilot and become bosom pals with Suzaku.

Ashford

It's possible to avoid conflict altogether and as hinted in the two famous Code Geass MADs that show what it'll be like if they took out all the drama and mecha, turning  it into a harem show instead, players will be able to experience the life of a typical highschool student. And by typical I mean being the least popular student around but yet attract the attention of the most popular female ones. Sigh.

With that out of the way, here's a summary of what each route has in store for players

Order Of The Black Knights

I'm no fan of Kallen, but that expression of hers sure got me weak in the knees. Since she serves as your guide should you decide to enlist with the rebels, there is that possibility that your relationship with the Ace of the Black Knights will blossom into so much more. And let's face it, there aren't exactly that many eligible bachelors within the organization, and with that raging homosexual siscon that is Lelouch, Kallen's real chance of getting laid is through you.

Just as there aren't any worthwhile men, the Black Knights are short handed when it comes to pretty female pilots too, and if you find Kallen not suiting your tastes, you can opt to sweep Nagisa off her feet and win her heart instead. A monumental task for sure, since it's definitely going to be hard trying to appeal to someone who's into hardened war veterans, but hey that's what video game romance is all about; defying the odds!

Undoubtedly the best heroine in the entire series, being loved by Kaguya is a divine blessing that mere mortals can only dream to attain. As such, Zero's loss is your gain, and believe me, having the Goddess herself grace you with her sincere love is something, for the lack of better phrases, worth dying for.

What's a visual novel without the Bad Ends, right? Taking part in the rebellion pretty much means putting your life on the line, and if you screw up, that's about it. At least here, Toudou pays his respects to your (an) heroism, so it's not that bad.

Holy Empire Of Britannia

Swearing undying loyalty to the great Emperor Charles does have it fringe benefits too, especially if you're into mature women with sado-masochistic tendencies. Yet to appear even in R2, Nonette Enneagram, who is of course the Knight Of Nine, and incidentally Cornelia's senior, whom apparently the latter fears. That said, only you are capable of taming such a person, though I'd imagine she'd be more than handful in bed. And before you ask, there is no Cornelia route. Stupid developers!

If you thought Viletta had piss poor tastes when it comes to men, think again! Much like the other Britannian woman mentioned before her, this brown sister's equally aggresive when it comes love, and boy, does she want it bad.

Perhaps, if you want a girlfriend who has that motherly aura surrounding her(don't most Kikuko Inoue characters?), there's always the option of Cecile('sup westrim!) For better or for worse, you have someone who prioritizes your well being above anything else, though if you have a weak stomach, you might find yourself in lying in your deathbed much sooner!

Being the lead of a dating sim puts you at a precarious spot when it comes to unwanted attention, as experienced by the player who's about to get assraped by Suzaku.

What's a Code Geass ren-ai if you don't get your own Geass? Admittedly, I never got as far reaching this scene, but watching the movie sequences suggests that the player will receive his own Geass, and in a defining moment that would forever alter the course of history, you are able to cancel out the effects of the Power of the King, thereby preventing Euphemia from committing that infamous atrocity.

Given the choice, Euphie decides to fall for you instead, which is excellent, since I never did get that Suzaku x Euphemia pairing; it was so shortlived and lacked depth and served as nothing more than a plot device, but that's another story.

Ashford

Hands up if you also had sexual fantasies of Rivalz.....

....Moving on. Too many times have the male-lead-best-friend-sidekick type characters been ignored in these sort of games, to which the developers aim to change by introducing Rivalz's route.

Remember when you'd go FUCK YOU NINA everytime she appears? Well this time around, you are given the opportunity of doing so literally! Rape you say? More like punishing Nina for her sins! While I can't imagine anyone who'd want to though when the lights are out, it's all the same.

With her brother preocuppied with his mission for global conquest, poor Nunally needs some loving, and who better to fill that void but you? Whether you're happy with a platonic relationship or would like it to progress much further, having Nunally by your side can really calm the soul. Yup, I would love to feed her some of my meatballs.

Being the very first person whom you meet in the game, it's only natural if there was a Millay route. A woefully underapperciated character, you are able to provide the bustiest female in Code Geass(according to an official breasts measurement chart) a true happy ending, and I'm not referring to her orgasm.

Omake

If that smile looks familiar, that's because it belongs to everyone's favorite yandere shota. Along the way, you're given brief glimpses in relation to your past and that Geass occult. Hmmm...

Oh yeah, I remember now. Urk.

The Knightmare Frame Pizza Tossing event may have failed in the actual series, but it actually succeeds here!

Unlike actual game reviews, skimming through another person's save file is hardly what I call a review, so all I can say is that this is definitely worth trying out if you're a fan and have decent moonspeaking abilities, since quite a bit of effort has been poured into developing this, which puts Lost Colors on par with other titles of the genre, and not a mere product tie-in. Excuse me while I continue fapping to Luluko.

And swapping her aged body with sagging tits for that of a deliciously flat chested little girl? Fuck Yeah!

Diethard, for someone with a relatively high INT rating, you sure know little about branding. You're right, the costume and mask can be mass produced for any man, woman or child(and dog). But the one thing that makes Zero a true symbol is something that no living entity on Earth can ever dream to replicate:

Rest assured though, because when he does return, Guilford will serve his Hime-sama once again, and this time, with upgrades:

Poor Suzaku, you'd think that the time he spent during his days as a grunt, the Britannian Empire had at least paid for his basic education. Now, I know Elevens tend to have a poor command of Emperor's English, but this is ridiculous!

Well, none of it matters anymore, since Big Charles IDDQD'ed himself, not forgetting the fact that his most trusted lieutenant was by his side. So what if 7, 8, 9? Bismarck shows that size does indeed matter, when it comes to 2H swords. In retrospect, even if Suzaku was somehow smart enough to bring a gun along, the Knight of One would have probably deflected all incoming bullets with his Excalibur. Or even better yet, slice them into half.

Mustering whatever traces of intelligence left in him, Suzaku manages to ascertain an important fact:

If Sunrise won't give her more screentime, then I will! Moe Moenica's moeness is woefully underutilized here, and I fear that she will meet with her demise pretty soon as did other female Britannian pilots. 

For better or for worse, Lelouch is now stuck in the same material plane as his old man. Putting the gay innuendos aside, I guess this means they can start forgiving each other and catch up on old times. I can see it now:

"Ruruuuuuuuschuu(sic), my son! Have I ever thought you how to ride a bike?"

No dad, I've always sat in the sidecar...

That, or they can engage in some wholesome father and son activities, like going fishing. Or mud wrestling. Don't ask.
