Suzumiya Haruki no SeitenkanPosted by: Shin in The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi, tags: Omake, Otaku
Oh man, even though I’ve been keeping tabs on the craze, little did I know that it would escalate to such feverish heights. From a few pieces of artwork parodying the original show, this gender-bending insanity has transformed into a full fledged rewriting project that has found its home in Baka-Tsuki, well known for translating light novels, among other things. Also in an unprecedented might of fandom, cosplay of the gender reversed cast has finally emerged, in the unlikeliest of places.

More LOLWUT Of Suzumiya HaruhiPosted by: Shin in The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi, tags: Omake, OtakuGender-bending Haruhi has been around for quite a while, but I guess the interest in such a premise was reinvigorated, judging from the reactions in this post ^^; A shout out to Hoshi-kun for translating the 4komas, and of course the artist who drew them in the first place. For those wanting more gender swap action, there’s now a dedicated discussion thread on this(thanks to RmX for the heads up), where you can help pitch in ideas to help recreate the entire series as part of their fan project.

The LOLWUT Of Suzumiya HaruhiPosted by: Shin in The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi, tags: Omake, Otaku
What if…the main cast from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi swapped genders? Would the show retain its charm and become much better? The thought of it alone is an interesting prospect, so much so that fans have been concocting their own designs on how everyone from the show would look: |
