Playing the role of the concerned elder brother, Ozma laments at how he’s paid so much to put Ranka through private school. But he had to rub it in and diss Ranka’s chances of being a singer. Oh no, you le didn’t.

Meanwhile, Alto helps Sheryl look for her missing earring in his locker. However, he panics when two female students suddenly walk into the locker room, causing him to drag Sheryl into a locker with him. The precariously tantalizing moment escalates into something much more erotic, as Alto’s cellphone suddenly vibrates, stimulating Sheryl’s nether regions. (≧∇≦)

Causing a ruckus from within the enclosed space, Alto almost alerts the two girls who were wondering what it was, though they get called by a teacher before things got out of hand. Oh snap. Still unable to locate the earring, Sheryl teasingly accuses that he was lying so he could be with her, which is what the entire episode is about, A DATE!

But before that, Ozma gets a house call from Kathy who accompanies him to some government security council meeting, with Leon contacting some shadowy figure in the background who suspiciously resembled Aeolia Schoenberg.

Anyway, while I like young girls with green hair, don’t have a 56k connection and am not a fan of Sheryl’s, I have to say Alto and Sheryl make a good couple, with the apparent the chemistry between them, as Alto plays the role of the dense male lead with Sheryl, who is surprisingly likable when she’s not being a haughty snob of a diva, complementing the Princess with her outgoing and playful nature.

So yeah, the date itself. We have the couple going out to town which is modeled after San Francisco, complete with streetcars and a hotdog stand manned by a brother.

Enough of Sheryl, now we move on to Ranka, who is with Mikhail as he found her loitering about in the streets like a forlorn kitten. The greenhead refuses to follow him back, so they hang out a local Zentradi mall. Man, I just absolutely adored Ranka’s reaction when Mikhail offers to buy her some soft-cream:

Even Klan Klein was there, but since it’s not her loli form, there’s not much to write about.

Speaking of which, Big Klein met up with Alto, who was accompanying Sheryl having the lilliputian time of her life, as she suddenly found inspiration to scribble on a big pair of pink underwear. Don’t ask.

Back to Mikhail and Ranka, the former challenges her to sing in front of a crowd who hasn’t showed up to see her perform, probably to prove her sincerity, and because this is a mecha musical, the aspiring songstress does exactly that. For everyone’s benefit, here’s what she sang, close captioned in native Zentradian.

Her mesmerizing vocal prowess wowed the crowd and some talent scout(?) who was impressed by her gorgeous, delicious..

Ranka’s singing also caught the attention of Sherly who acknowledged her talents. It was so good that even the supposedly dead Vajra at the meeting where Ozma was, returned to life, probably wanting to see its idol perform.

After it was all over, Ranka tells Mikhail it was all thanks to Alto, who had inspired and believed in her, although unfortunately the two spots Sheryl pecking Alto on the cheek for a wonderful day. Awkward…

Well, even for a date episode, it turned out pretty fun to watch, though I still want one with Ranka and Alto. That kissing scene was foreseeable enough, as it would most likely fuel the inevitable rivalry between the two main girls both career and relationship wise. Obviously, I’m rooting for the underdog, so much so I even changed the banner just for her ( ´∀`) Also, what’s with the Vajra acting up whenever Ranka opens her mouth? Is she a Vajrian emissionary? Or is it because her moeness is universally acknowledged, triggering the Vajras into a bloodlust?
