Flashback time! We learn of what happened during that confrontation between Lelouch and Suzaku, and no surprise, Noodle Jesus emerged victorious in that, as he employs the same bullet dodging h4x way back in the first season. Spouting more hypocrisy into Kallen’s face as she watches in anguish, Suzaku drags Lelouch’s ass all the way back to the Emperor. Before the mighty Norio Wakamoto Charles vi Britannia, everybody’s favorite turncoat seeks permission to join the elite Knights of the Round, as a reward for capturing Zero. Pleased with his accomplishments, the Emperor grants Suzaku that very right, and proceeds to give out his first order, which is to prevent Lelouch from struggling as he performs mindrape. Bricks were shat, when Charles reveals his dual eye Geass which allows him to permanently msconfig a person startup settings.

Fast forward to the present, and right off the bat, Lelouch calls out to C.C, who flatly denies of having given the Emperor any form of Geass. Other questions such as Nunally’s whereabouts remain unknown, as Lelouch suddenly recalls the obvious fact that he never had a brother. The siscon is back! Right then, some pitiful Britannian Knightmare pilot shows up only to have his machine jacked by Lelouch. From here on out, we get a rehash of the tactics used by our protagonist to send the military into disarray, maphack and all. Meanwhile, Britannia’s big pimp Charles shows his new man-ho Suzaku around a part of his crib that not even the other 11 Round ho’s or Schneizel has seen; a floaty shrine thing where a fearsome weapon by the name of 「The Sword Of Akasha」 resides.

Some brief Lelouch x Kallen moments later, the Sunrise plot rehash mechanism goes into high gear, with the all too familiar pattern of Zero owning and anticipating all of the Brits’ moves, all of which ends up being short lived, with the emergence of a single unit that manages to dispose many of the Black Knights. That unknown unit, apparently a mass produced version of the Lancelot wades through the pawns to finally get at Zero, although he gets protection from Kallen and an Elevenese who ends up becoming an hero. Massive explosions ensue, and in the wake of the destruction of the Tower of Babel, Governor General Carares gets squashed like a bug, prompting Lelouch to go all JUST AS PLANNED. As Zero announces to the whole world of his resurrection, many familiar faces are shown, with the United States of Japan being redeclared. Back at the Chinese embassy, it turns out the Chinks have been aiding the Black Knights the whole time. Sexy Li XingkeThe Swordsman is still wary of this unholy alliance, though he does not protest to his immediate superior. As he leaves the building to ward off some annoying company, the mysterious Knightmare frame arrives, and from within, emerges Rollo, who unleashes his own Geass on the unwary Chinese guy.

Another Déjà vu episode, with not much new insights except for the fact we now know it was nothing more than a game of pretend in regards to Viletta and Rollo, assigned to keep tabs on Lelouch. With the apparently leaked scenes from episode 3 I’m saved the trouble of having to speculate what might take place though the producers might actually alter the episode due to that incident, despite the fact they’ve announced that the show will be aired as usual and that the “upload” was a technical error on their behalf. Still I don’t see what the big deal is, since it’s still early in the series, and the spoilers aren’t exactly earth shattering, thought I must admit I like Rollo’s Dio Brando-esque abilities, should it be real. That said, I feel so slowpoke for doing this only now wwwww
