Blondes, the gentlemen’s choice.
A representative from the Remerio company who goes by the name of Liebert accompanies our motley crew for the smuggling run, and they depart for Rubinheigen, putting everything on the line. It didn’t take long for conflict to form between the two parties, as Liebert had intended to arrive at their destination in the quickest manner possible, disregarding the safety of everyone else, in this case, Nora, as she would have a hard time herding the sheeps at night.
Still, Lawrence manages to convince him to stay with them for the night, after explaining the situation. As they resume their journey, Horo is peeved about Nora’s sheepdog, as it knows about her true identity, although I do wonder what’s the worse that could happen, unless the mutt can somehow relay that revelation to its owner, which wouldn’t matter much anyway. This makes Lawrence bring up the topic on the consequences should the plan fail, as Nora would be the one who would bear the brunt of it. Listening to him being so concerned over the loli shepherd conjures Horo’s displeasure, for obvious reasons.

If you know what I mean.
The convoy makes another stop to turn in for the night but this time around, trouble rears its ugly head, as they are being surrounded by a pack of wolves. Of course, Horo notices this before everyone else, with Noro following suit. Strangely enough, the aggressors do not make their move, only to fall back after Nora blows her horn. Things remain calm for the time being, and the band of smugglers arrive at their destination with the cargo. Phase one of the plan succeeds, and everyone makes preparation to return from whence they came.
On their way back, Lawrence and company now find themselves as prey, by the same pack of wolves that had stalked them the night before. This time around however, the wild canines are being lead a gigantic wolf, on par to Horo when she first transformed. Seeing as there is no way out of the situation, Horo volunteers to stay behind to fend off the wolves, while the rest of the party head to their objective location.

300 v 1. Poor wolves.
With everyone dispersed, Horo confronts the leader of the pack, an enormous wolf of godly proportions and taunts him as to her, he was nothing more than a youngling. Elsewhere, Lawrence sets up a bonfire, waiting for Horo’s return, only to find a search party who had been looking for him. Caught off guard, Lawrence is attacked and tied up by these men, who sparred his live under the pretense of it being insurance, as he grimaces on the ground cursing his misfortunes.
Haha, for a merchant, Lawrence is too naive and trusting to have lasted this long. It was so painfully obvious that Liebert was sent to keep an eye on things, to which I’m sure that even Lawrence realized(I hope) although with no contingency plan whatsoever, he once again finds himself in a mess, with no one to bail him out this time around. Speaking of which, Horo seems confident enough that she can take care of the giant wolf, and I think that she would too, as this serves only as a distraction for Lawrence to be backstabbed. Still, I do hope they show that fight scene next week, and not just have Horo returning possibly weary and wounded.

Just out of curiosity:
1) Have you read the novels already?
2) If the answer is “yes” for question one, how does it compare to the anime? Which one is less “Tedious” per say?

I usually try to avoid the source material until I actually finish a series, so yeah, I haven’t ^^;
