Some people just don’t die even if you killed them.
Oh man, talk about being shortchanged. I knew they were hinting at Tomoya x Nagisa path right off the bat, but to abruptly end two of my favorite routes in one swift blow just made me fill up with (╬ ಠ益ಠ) RAAAAAGEE I didn’t mind so much that they had altered the story to suit the schedule, but with the amount of episodes dedicated to Fuuko(who can’t seem to stay dead) and Kotomi’s arcs, I felt deprived and cheated.

So Tomoya got suspended after admitting to starting a fight in school[spoilers]He actually got suspended after being caught making out with Tomoyo[/spoilers]Feeling guilty for having him take the fall for her brash actions, Tomoyo now regularly visits our hero to cook food for him. Having already intertwined with the Fujibayashi Twin’s route, Kyou and Ryou make their appearance as well, bringing food for the latter(They even managed to slip in that fortune telling machine scene earlier on, although Kyou was never with Ryou and Tomoya when they tried it out) Also, just for the lulz, Kotomi also shows up with some grub, not to mention Fuuko who once again pop out of nowhere(this gag isn’t funny anymore, KyoAni) with her seemingly inedible starfish delicacies. With that, Tomoya ends up in an extremely enviable situation where every girl in the show fights over his cock, forcing him to eat the food they’ve so painstakingly prepared. Even the usually docile Ryou was relentless this time around.

Back at school, rumors regarding Tomoyo’s past notoriety is resurfaced, as her campaigning poster was being defiled with awful remarks. In order to clear her name, Tomoya tells the aspiring student council president to challenge all the sports clubs in school to boost her popularity, to which she pulls off with relative ease. As the pair walk home together, Tomoyo tells Tomoya for the very first time why she had wanted to become the head in the first place. It was all for her brother’s sake, who had been the pillar of strength in her broken family. After putting himself in harm’s way to unite the family together, it was his wish that he could visit the very same path Tomoya and Tomoyo walked on to see the blooming cherry blossoms every year. As such, Tomoyo’s first task if she were to become president was to preserve them, not only for Takafumi(her brother) but for everyone as well. How commendable.

Nagisa returns from her long absence, which also marks the last of challenges Tomoyo had made against the club. Brace for impact. Nagisa struts her stuff as lead heroine here, and her sudden prominence and closeness to Tomoya all of the sudden has prompted Tomoyo to throw in the towel in the race, although she graciously accepts it. The same can’t be said for the twins, as they baaaaaaaaw’ed their eyes out so much it made me want to cry as well. Kyou takes the opportunity to apologize to her sister for playing matchmaker despite knowing very well Kyou had interest in Tomoya as well. More baaaaw’ing ensue. Kotomi on the other hand, well, remains as Kotomi, unperturbed by the situation, but I guess they’ve written her out since her arc was completed.

So there you have it. I now regret having played through Tomoyo and Kyou’s route back to back due to the underwhelming unfolding of events. It just goes to show that anime adaptations will never be as good as the source material, and despite being fully aware of this, I couldn’t resist it anyway, and now pay the price for my insolence ;-; With so few episodes left, I pray that KyoAni isn’t going to omit Yukine and Misae’s route, with the latter’s being particularly awesome. Seeing as how these two stories are independent of the main one, I guess they could pull it off if they wanted. Oh yeah, did I mention there being a male route as well? Although I have no intention of playing it, there is supposed this Kappei dude, although I’m not sure how he fits into the story other than the fact he ends up as [spoilers]Ryou’s lover[/spoiler] if you got Kyou’s best end. Also, I’ve yet to played Nagisa’s route, since hers is probably the longest(spanning even over the epilogue) so I’ll wait for KyoAni to do their stuff first, to avoid disappointment ._. Shin out.

Yea, why won’t Fuuko die already..
Her appearances are not cute at all, just annoying..
Kyou and Tomoyo deserves more episodes..
And Fuuko and Kotomi doesn’t…
Imagine what will happen if they cut Fuuko’s and Kotomi’s story short in the anime..
More Kyou and Tomoyo awesomeness..

I T_T at Tomoyo’s story too. And I don’t care who Tomoya ends up with, as long as he’s happy lol.
