Higurashi no Naku Koro ni : The Movie(?!)
Posted by: Shin in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, tags: Live Action, Movies, Otaku
Not to be confused with the live action porno (don’t ask) there will be an actually feature length movie in theaters next year, directed by Oikawa Otaru. With additional information courtesy of Famitsu, all the actors playing the main characters have been announced. As history has shown, game/anime to movie transitions never turn out well, and sure enough, fans have already gathered together to protest against this. Below are the list of the actors and the characters they will be playing as:
Maeda Gouki(16) as Maebara Keiichi
Matsuyama Airi(17) as Ryuugu Rena
Asuka Rin(16) as Sonozaki Mion
Ono Erena(13) as Houjo Satoko
Aika(15) as Furude Rika
What can I say? Well, for one, no matter how the movie turns out to be, I guess the consolation is that the actors here look way better than the ones in the pr0n I guess ^^; Also, how they can compress so much of the story in a 2 hour(at best) movie is beyond me. In any case, this is something to look forward to, regardless of the outcome. Nii~paa. Shin out.

I don’t like action movies of my favourite animes, but this one could be cool. I hope the film will not disappoint me.
Thanks for the info.

The lolis alone should be worth the admission fee ^^

I’ll be watching this even if it’s awful. xD Hopefully they have okay effects though. At least the loli characters are being paid by people that are actually young. x3

The actress for Rena looks a wee bit mature to me.

Yeah, she kinda does, but I was referring to Rika and Satoko more. x3

My sister is 13 and she looks nothing like that ;_;

Really? I think Satoko’s actress looks pretty young. Rika’s looks older. At least they’re not played by 18 year olds trying to seem younger. x3

As real as the Higurashi Syndrome.
And unsurprisingly, it screwed up in the box office, though it hasn’t stopped producers from announcing a sequel even before the first movie was released.
