The Extravaganza of Haruhi Suzumiya
Posted by: Shin in The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi, tags: Japanwww, Otaku, SeiyuusReleased just recently on DVD, this is a fan conference cum live concert featuring seiyuus from the aforementioned show that took place in March. The entire was around 4 hours long; the first half was a discussion panel with the director, character designer and the main cast and a short skit featuring the SOS Brigade while the second half featured live songs performed by the seiyuus.

Matsuoka Yuki (Tsuruya nyoro~n)
Kuwatani Natsuko (Asakura Ryoko)
Aoki Sayaka (Kyon’s sis)
Shiratori Yuri (Green hair chick Emiri)
Mr Director Ishihara Tatsuya
Character Designer Ikeda Shouko
It was a sold out event, with both audience and performers being very enthusiastic. The highlight of the event was when the 3 main female seiyuus performed the legendary Hare Hare Yukai dance, which was very well done indeed. Then there was the encore that featured Kyon and Itsuki. My favourite was when Sugita performed his song and this person showed up:

I’ve been meaning to torrent this. I watched a couple of the performances I was really interested in on youtube (Kentai Life Returns, Hare Hare Yukai) but it’d probably be better with higher quality.
Now if only my subbed Hayate no Gotoku episodes would hurry up… x3

No problem. Well I’m glad you managed to do it without much hassle. IRC is really the best alternative to torrents if you want great speeds and the latest episodes. ^^

No news as of yet, considering it only got released a while back in Japan. In any case, I’ll post something up if there’s any news of a States release.
