[Breaking News] Miura Kentaro was a Chihaya fan all along

I did not want to believe it at first, but the following video pretty much confirmed what I had feared all this while. For the past four years, I was led to believe that the author behind Berserk, a prominent iDOLM@STER fan himself, was a staunch supporter of Yayoi. To lend credence to that rumour, the image above surfaced in the light of the Tokyo Youth Ordinance Bill back in 2010 which clearly depicts her, along with the twins. Then there's also the inclusion of Schierke in his magnum opus, which I was so certain was a nod as well.

>Interviewer queries Miura on the purpose of purchasing of a premium account on Nico Nico Douga

>Miura responds with iDOLM@STER, among other things

>Toshiyuki Kubooka(guy with gendo sunglasses and original iDOLM@STER character designer) can be seen quite uncomfortable after that response. Incidentally, he is also the director for the new Berserk movie

>Interviewer asks Toshiyuki what he thinks about it

>Toshiyuki responds by saying that other people told him this too, but (he thinks) it's not just because of iDOLM@STER that Miura suggested him to be the director

>Interviewer says "Well, you say that, but sensei might have thought differently."

>Dumb hag in the middle spews stupid shit

>Interviewer asks Miura who he likes in the franchise

>Miura: "Chi-chan."

>Interview: "I'm sorry, who?"

>Miura: "Chihaya."

>Toshiyuki's face when

>Miura: "I'm sure you can tell from looking at Casca , but I like the fact that Chihaya is stoic."

>Interviewer: "I see. iDOLM@STER and Berserk are connected, in the sense of stoic."

Folks it is no secret that I love Yayoi. With hatred originating from disreputable gentlemen continually persisting, I am often called upon to defend my favourite idol from criticisms. The fact that Miura may or may not have been a Yayoi fanboy was one of the defences I used to ward off haters, even though I had no actual evidence to back it up.

I knew that this day would finally come, and I find it difficult to discredit Miura for it, since Chihaya is indeed an excellent choice. You see, the fact that he even likened her to Caska makes me wonder if all he just wants to see is her suffering.
Whether it is rape by Femto, losing her voice, getting hit by a car, being assaulted by a stalker, being abused by Kuroi via blackmail that would damage Haruka's reputation does not really matter. What matters is that Chihaya suffers, because that is when she is at her most beautiful.

Miura, you may not have been the Yayoi bro I always thought you were, but at least I know that you are a true iDOLM@STER broducer nonetheless.

  1. Guts = Haruka since Casca = Chihaya. Calling it now.

Kinda shocked he wasn’t a Yayoi fan since i thought he included the loli witch because of Yayoi.

  2. Us Idolm@ster brethren need to stick together. We cannot let petty things like our choice of favorite character shatter us. A house divided cannot stand — we must unite as one and put our differences aside. Has Idolm@ster not taught us anything about danketsu?

Still… Chihaya? Well, it’s understandable. At least Miura isn’t a Azusa fan.

    ::I’m serious, tho::

    • Actually the Azusa thing was the first rumour that came about once his fandom was discovered, but the artwork thing he did for the youth bill meant that it was quickly forgotten

  3. Sounds like we’re one step closer to getting a Berserk/Idolmaster hybrid.

  4. At least he wasn’t a fan of ….himself, The Producer.

    That’d be funny but impractical.

This made my day… Even so, I’m not disappointed by his choice at all… In fact, I’m pretty satisfied.

  6. I asked you before and you told me he stated it on an interview. You made up a source!? Can I believe something you say ever again!? Why are you such a faggot!? the answer lies… in your reply of course!

I am sad though… when someone bullied Yayoi at /a/ all you need to do is post Miura’s photo with a: “Yayoi hate!? that’s it! No more Berserk for you faggots!”

    • Aww don’t say that. I too, was deceived, by them Internet rumours, but I guess being caught in the excitement and all, I didn’t ask for a proper sauce either.

Funny how I am one of those people who used that response against Yayoi haters too ww

  7. Surely there must be someone else that can be Yayoi’s knight against the evil internet machine??
