The iDOLM@STER 19: Tsukihime
Fool! Because of you no one will discuss about Takane in her own episode!

Folks, I think I may have fallen completely in love with the Moon Princess. Every time she graces my screen with her presence, my chest would hurt and my heart would go doki doki. I have seen quite a few oujosamas in my lifetime but none are quite like Takane. There are many reasons why she has won me over but one of it is the mane that rests on her crown which are in fact long streams of mooncrystal, which undulate under the moonlight
While this episode was no closer to explaining the mystery behind Takane's true identity, it was flawlessly paced, with decent levels of character development(though not much of hers) throughout.

I have stopped 'bullying' Chihaya for quite some time now, not because I felt sorry for her, but because I realised I had no talent for it. At least compared to Kuroi. I don't know about you folks, but 961's mastermind pretty much just established himself as one of the better villains out there, more so because the things he does are fairly in line with reality, even though his Team Rocket-esque schemes prior to this were laughable at best. While his attempts at besmirching my princess' good name was in itself poorly executed, he really stepped up his game this time around with what he did to Chihaya. Not even in the game was he anywhere near this malicious in his sabotage.

They have been hinting at it from the very beginning, bit by bit, in order for it to take a snowball effect - culminating into an amazing cliffhanger for next week's mother of all suffering. Chihaya has been siphoning screentime from other idols for this moment and it has finally come full circle where everything comes tumbling down, tumbling down... I don't really want to sound sadistic, but a buttock-wrecked Chihaya was one of the best things to happen to the series to date, if only to provide a glimpse at how the entertainment industry works. As if losing her voice - in front of a crowd, no less, wasn't bad enough, she gets slandered in a magazine blaming her for her brother's death. It seems as though the gods took off their collective pants and dropped a cosmic diarrhea of misfortune on her www
A cold preview with a different BGM AND no OTANOSHIMINI? Shit just got suffering.

Remind me to give you a punch for Chihaya when I see you tomorrow at AFA. Also, I need to go pray to my gods that I don’t get arrested while meeting you.
November 12th, 2011 - 17:33
No, pray to my god. With luck, he’ll treat you as well as he treated his own son.
November 14th, 2011 - 09:51
Nope, my son is a good boy. When we met, we were both too overwhelmed to talk for more than a minute

Having played through Chihaya’s route I knew the dramatic illness was going to crop up soon. But damn, President Kuroi really is a despicable person. Words fail to describe my anger and outrage at his actions.
November 11th, 2011 - 19:33
and before I forget. I see where you are going with that Tsukihime reference.

Shijou Takane is the White Princess of the Shinso, the True Ancestors. The title of Shijou was given to those Shinso capable of manifesting the Millennium Castle Shijou, and has been likened to be the vampire royal family, although this is not strictly true.
November 14th, 2011 - 17:54
@Setsuna-san – I was feeling the same about president Kuroi until I realized he was voiced by Takehito Koyasu; now all my ovaries can think of is him whenever Kuroi appears.
November 15th, 2011 - 11:15
Looked up his name- turns out he was Hanagata in Saber Marionette J.
Now whenever he appears on screen, I’ll imagine him desperately hitting on the Broducer eeeyargh. @.@
November 16th, 2011 - 03:45
Oh yeah I know all about his VA roles :D””””
November 11th, 2011 - 21:56
Yes. Next week is “the one”. The culmination of all your Chihaya slanders will come to conclusion. The Aoi Tori will have lost her wings, and fall off the 765 office building at her own volition. She would survive the fall only to get amnesia. One of her eyes crushed too so she would wear an eyepatch. 765Pro will dedicate a charity concert for her on the day she gets operated on the throat against her cancer. Though the operation is a success, she’ll be on wheelchair as the snow starts to fall. By then she would have cried 1 litre of tears as she says “GOAL!”
Don’t mind me.
November 14th, 2011 - 09:54
Based on a true story?
November 12th, 2011 - 00:23
Ascending to new heights of cruelty… now you’ve brought in Darth Vader. I suppose that would explain her crappy home life. “Chihaya… I am your father! And your mother and I are getting divorced.”
November 14th, 2011 - 09:55
Pretty sure her parents are already divorced following the death of her brother

“Haroo~ Mai neemu izu Takane. Hau oorudo aa-yuu?”
I’m assuming your next playthrough will be with her in lead?
November 14th, 2011 - 09:57
I don’t know if my heart can take that much Takane

Hngggg Chihaya in pajamas hnggggg… She is sick… Hnggg… Must take care of… Chihaya…
November 12th, 2011 - 02:44
Always so mean to Chihaya… :(
November 14th, 2011 - 10:01
She is the only girl I want to bully only to protect all at the same time. I’m not sure how to explain my infatuation towards Chihaya
November 12th, 2011 - 05:14
I think Takane is a pretty cool idol, shes can give Chihaya a Hannibal Lecture and doesn´t afraid of anything.
November 14th, 2011 - 10:07
I shuddered for a moment too during that scene. There’s no way my princess can be this awesome.
November 12th, 2011 - 10:49
This is fantastic. All the best episodes of the series so far have occurred on the 5′s (Beach, Sports Festival, Namassuka Sunday), and now 20 will bring all the tears. I heard from another source that the storyboard for ep20 will be done by the same person who did ep18 of CLANNAD After Story (i.e. cry-fest). Couple that with Chihaya’s “Nemuri Hime” and I’ll be preparing myself for some waterworks next week.
Oh, right, Takane. I enjoyed this episode a lot and appreciate her more now. I still think her ramen segment in ep15 ran a bit long, but I think she’s someone who grows on you over time. And you learn to appreciate that she always takes it nice and slow, with utmost grace and eloquence. (But she’ll suplex you if you make her mad?)
November 14th, 2011 - 10:13
Why do I get a feeling this would probably take more than an episode resolve? I can see it taking at least two, with one where Haruka finally takes centre stage to help her best friend. I guess it’s also when I finally stop picking on Chihaya
So I’m the only one who would watch 20+ minutes of Takane visiting different ramen shops with the twins?
November 13th, 2011 - 02:47
I’m really liking Idolm@ster’s Ojousama too! That soft regal voice, that elegant poise, that curvacious body, those luscious long silver locks! But mostly because she’s a fucking martial artist WTF!?!? I nerdgasmed when I saw her do that maneuver to that paparazzi guy! I have gone gay for her!
Should I feel bad for wanting to see Chihaya suffer? I mean she’s not exactly bad, but I hate how she steals a moments here and there from the other idols’ episodes (much like how I despise Sheryl Nome for being a huge effing Mary Sue)
BTW dad, images in this post => WIN WIN WIN WIN

It’s easy to imagine how admiration for Lady Taka can turn into something much more, just like how Yukiho has a thing for her. Sadly enough, the Moon Princess doesn’t see much of an opinion about Yukiho herself. (Takane dislikes Yukiho being the leader of the unit in the game)
I guess you share the same schadenfreude genes as me, daughter
November 14th, 2011 - 17:58
She doesn’t like Yukiho either?? OJOUSAMA MAI RABU!
*Schadenfreude added to my list of regularly used words*

There’s ample Hibiki to go around this week, which is good. Fun episode overall, 100% less Jupiter would have made it really good.
