恭喜发财 to all readers, lurkers and passers by!
It's that time of the year again. I'll be going back to my mother's hometown somewhere in the northern islands of Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Looking forward to the great delicacies that's only available around this time(Pineapple cookies!), although ultimately it is the shiny red packets that's really being sought after by me. 
Will be pre-occupied with the nitty gritty such as mingling with relatives for the next couple of days too, meaning there will be no updates until I return.
Speaking of rubbing shoulders with familiar faces, I'm considering whether or not I should return to that Maid Cafe(it wasn't) just to reintroduce myself and annoy the management after that splendid review. They never did reply my e-mail. 
Setsuna on the other hand will be spending his year of the ox molesting cows and fondling their udders;

from these posts im assuming that most of u r Chinese, because i have no idea wat year is wat animal(i kno sum of the animals, but merely from the Chinese restaurant in my old neighborhood). neway, as an American, im very confused about all the “Lunar Year” and “Red Packet” stuff. im assuming Lunar Year has sumthing 2 do with wat determines a new year in China, and have no idea wat u mean by “red packet”. i am, however very interested in Oriental culture, and if sum1s willing 2, mind telling me wat a “red packet” is?

@Panther – I avoid all forms of conversation with them after I get them red packets.
@gordon – Setsuna is sterile. No chance of that happening.
@Ben – It’s the year of the ox and a new lunar year is a new year on the Chinese calender. Instead of presents, red packets are handed out to children and single adults, and of course, comes in red colored envelopes.
