With the emphasis solely on Kanako, I can't help but express my disdain for this episode. Until of course, a particular scene which made me acknowledge the ℳℴℯ❤ emanating from the homosexual one.
How can you ignore his plea for screentime? ;_;
Speaking of lesbians, it turns out what Mariya said about Ryuken's fangirls was true after all, which I had initially assumed was a ruse to justify the latter's forceful eviction. Thankfully, the ever so considerate Mariya has thought ahead of time and bestowed Kanako with her own moeblob as a deterrent.

Definitely an unorthodox means of bullying, as I'm sure it takes a lot of effort to prepare fresh seafood and hatch up creative ways to utilize them. My insatiable lust for Mariya had me going against my No Manga Of A Concurrent Series rule, with both A Tip Of The Hat and A Wag Of My Finger at [gg] for picking it up. While their track record as fansubbers has me rest assured, I did officially put them On Notice for dropping Nightmare of Nunally. LIKE MARIYA TOWARDS KANAKO, GG IS SUCH A CLIT(cock?)TEASE! 
Having the other group of scanlators drop it makes it worse. 
Loving the Kannagi-esque end frame artwork by various artists for the series, although I don't actually recognize any of them. Oh well. The omake still makes no sense and male pregnancy is real.

I totally hate the source material and think none of the manga jokes are funny, yet I love the animation and will keep watching it anyway. Sweet OP and ED sequences? Yes! Chiyo-Dad peeking through the trees during a dramatic scene? Yes! Dog-initiated alaria explosion set to Final Countdown ripoff? Yes! No less than FOUR artistic stained-glass portraits in a two second scene? YOU ARE CRAZY AND I LOVE YOU, SHINBO

I love Kanako to such an extent that your disdain for her is eclipsed by my overpowering adoration as only some one so yuri starved can deliver. I thought it was great you got you Mariya bone and I got Kanako scoring mucho points with the ladies who have sworn their loyalty to Kanako. I eagerly await teh day when Kanako and her yuri harem will BE FRIENDLY. Oh my head is swirling with thoughts of KanakoxKirixRyuuken-sama.

@Scypher – I agree. While most anime suffer from the omission of content from the source material, I felt the anime not only overcame this issue but in many ways surpassed the former with its injection of fresh new ideas.
I’m all for traps and have came to many in my lifetime, but something about Mariya and his sadistic tendencies really arouses me. 
@shirokiryuu – If posts at the subber’s blog is any indication, I think it’s safe to say the anime will continue being subbed, though as mentioned, I can’t say the same for the manga. Now that I’m hooked to it and the original scanlators have stopped their work, I dread the thought of not seeing my favorite trap.
@Crusader – Well, after this episode, I’m mostly ambivalent towards Kanako, since she can be rather cute at times, winning the affections of other girls and not realizing it. While I too await for M+H doujins, it’s the kind where Mariya renders Kanako straight and gay at the same time with his trappenis.

While the anime is arguably better than the source material i find that the manga is nothing to scoff at either. But i guess to each their own.

@ps – I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person who actually watched the Colbert Report around here… Anyway, if the post inauguration episode is any indication, Colbert wouldn’t mind if you fapped to hot guys, which is exactly what Mariya is, though he’s hot in a different sense.
