Other Stuff I Watched In Autumn So Far – Part III
Ga-Rei Zero
For this to be the Queen's pick for best show of the season, I had come to expect some seizure inducing, stomach churning gore and violence that would satiate any bloodlust. Well, it didn't quite actually live up to the pimpage I've had to endure from her :P , and the early portion of Ga-Rei felt like just another sci-fi horror anime. Until a katana wielding schoolgirl showed up that is. Having her mercilessly cut down a bunch of poor saps gave me an instant boner and before I knew it, I was craving for more! Hopefully, that cliffhanger isn't a one trick pony on the producer's behalf to lure viewers in, since admittedly, I fell for it. I even dare hope they take the genre to a new direction by making the antagonist as the lead character, but I'm not counting on it, lest I be disappointed. Because of how it ended, I couldn't tell what really went on, but I'm staying just to see that homicidal bitch run amok dismembering everything that breathes.
Kemeko DX
Sitting through this show was like savoring a piece of hard shell candy with a soft chewy centre, which almost describes its main character, Kemeko, a super deformed robotic suit in a shape of a female piloted by a beautiful adolescent girl. Sporting an outlandish and extreme brand of humor, Kemeko DX is as random as they come, to the extent it slotted in a Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei reference which came out of nowhere. Words fail me in describing what I watched in the first two episode, so needless to say, this is one you'd want to watch with your brain turned off.
Akane-Iro Ni Somaru Saka
If you thought this was just another eroge to anime conversion, then allow me to tell you that you couldn't have been more...... right. Still, being the ronery otaku, I needed my fix of romantic comedies, with their implausible scenarios that always make me go "Why doesn't it ever happen to me? 
" This show turned out surprisingly enjoyable, despite throwing all the cliches in your face. One of its redeeming factors would be listening to TEH RIE playing a character other than a loli tsundere, even though she does slip into that tone of voice when she's all worked up. Character designs were nice, especially for Yuuhi, who is a slight departure from the usual female lead with her beautiful grey hair and petite frame. I got high just from typing the words "petite frame" so I'm going to do it again; PETITE FRAME. Even Nanoha-clone Minato was a sight for sore eyes, and hopefully, it won't be too long before we get some wincest coming our way. Calling for her to turn into a batshit insane yandere soon because she's too nice to be true. Now, can anyone kindly point me to where I can download the HCG set?

You know, the last thing I want to read about is Shin’s penis and what he does with it. Where’s my knife when I need it? I rather like seeing Kugimiya do non-loli roles. Hirano was pure meh as Minato as she is pure meh in most everything she does.

I guess our standards of loli tsunderes are different because I had the exact opposite thought. And driven to pick one of the shows this season featuring TEH RIE abusing supposed tough guy who’s really not, etc. etc., I have to go Toradora. But Akasaka had more potential perversions (especially siscon with Aya), and a lot of shots of thighs, so I can see why you went for it.

Ga-Rei Zero hooked me with that completely unexpected ending…and with that “GIANT CG ROLLING DINOSAUR ON FIRE” ;) , but it seems they’ll repeat that same type of ending…>_> Dunno if it’s a keeper yet…
Kemeko DX is just plain out crazy…and I’m up for crazy!
And Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka was better than I expected, generic, yes, but entertaining nonetheless…and Yuuhi is so damn moe~♥

I agree with you, the more unconventional grey hair really does give her a distinctive look and TEH RIE’S voice is like sex on my ears.

Spot on. I’m actually partial to all TEH RIE characters, but Yuuhi struck me as someone more interesting to watch than Taiga, as the 2nd and 3rd episode hasn’t done anything to change that.

Kemeko DX if anything, resembles that other crazy slapstick anime otherwise known as Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan which was equally insane though a lot more violent.
