Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter 01: A New Prelude

Mukyaa~! Gyabo~! The show that I've been waiting all year has finally aired! The Paris Chapter of Nodame Cantabile was every bit as awesome as I've expected, and while I've not read the manga, it stays true to the equally amazing live action specials that I watched earlier in the year. As you'd imagine, the sequel takes our favorite musically inclined couple all the way to Europe as Chiaki preps for a conductor competition to reaffirm his abilities before meeting up with Vieira while Nodame enrolls in a prestigious music school. In Paris, the two move into Chiaki's family apartment where they meet up with two of its tenants, namely Frank the French Otaku and Tanya, a spunky Russian girl. I waited up till 4am for a decent raw, which wasn't that much better than the stream I watched but it was good enough for caps, so beware 56k'ers!

Even though they're thousands of miles away from home, Nodame and Chiaki remain neighbors!

Oh you, J.C Staff!

Kekekekekeke

Stereotypically French.

I also shed (girly) tears watching this

_, ._
(;゚ Д゚)

Chiaki never did get over his phobia.

When you see it....

(#`皿´) vs (╬ ಠ益ಠ)

Looking kinda Guiche there, Frank.

Tanya finds out first hand Chiaki's hotness extends to his temper as well.

Me on the right.
Well, I'm screwed; It's nearly 5am and I still can't get over my excitement over this show, with only an hour before I have to get ready for classes. Haha. Anyway, I love Nodame Cantabile as you can tell, and even though I already know how this all ends, nothing beats watching it all over animated, as Nodame's trademark sound effects and expressions are superior here. Chiaki remains the hot tsundere whom I fell in love with long ago, while I prefer live action Frank more but totally dig 2D Tanya. Might edit this post to add more thoughts but for now, I best get ready and be Nodame for a day and sleep in class :P

“I also shed (girly) tears watching this”
. I haven’t heard of this, but I will check it out. Or at least look it up on wikigod. And go ahead, sleep in class. It’s better than what I did, which was miss class entirely today (overslept, missed bus… yeah).
You would

@Nagato
It’s available to everyone, just need to know which channel to access.
@westrim
It’s the only time where you’ll catch me being so excited over slice of life and romance type anime.
@usagijen
Hoho, welcome aboard! I had to fight back the tears twice in fact, since I caught both anime and live action almost back to back.
@biankita
Well you’d think that Frank was a Louise fan considering his nationality and all.
I’m counting on Hard Gay to do it or at least C1 to be quicker this around.

@Kabitzin
I already tried melon pan because of Shana and it tasted like crap. Never again will I patronize anything she promotes!
@monica
That makes 2 of us! And a bunch of other people!
@Danny
I know you’re a big classical music fan too.
@issa-sa
So that makes Kuroshitsuji the best show with cakes?
@EvilDevil
*psst* Chiaki is the guy!
@Setsuna
Sure thing, I’ll hand over the first season too, if you want. If you can tolerate Honey & Clover, this should be easy.
@kanzeon
I love my avatar too.
@linkinstreet
I now imagine Chiaki and Nodame getting it on and talking dirty in French. Yum.
@Sojourner
That’s great! Happy belated birthday to you!
@Saouri
I rewatched the live action specials in anticipation too! Thanks for the plug!

The nice thing is that you can actually watch both at the same time, since even though you’re not entirely missing out in terms of plot, there’s much of the character development which you just have to see to truly savor this awesome series.

k thanks so much!
