Code Geass R2 Turn 22: Love Is Over

Watching Odie being treated like this has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Unlike his other power crazed siblings, Odie was a gentle and soft spoken soul who took things easy. Kinda like me. Then of course there's his penchant for underaged girls, but hey, being a peace loving lolicon's better than a homoerotic megalomaniac bent on ruling the world..... Right?

How about I analyze you instead? Just the two of us. In my chambers. The great thing about being Emperor is most definitely having your own personal Lloyd to sexually toy around with. I'd smear pudding all over my feet and have him lick it off while he's all bound up. Emmm. Uh, Cecille's fine too, I guess.

His heterosexuality being one of them. Coupled with the somewhat romantic background music, this intimate moment between Lelouch and his Knight looked as though it was taken out from some Shakesperean epic. Gotta love Lelouch's Requiem of Zero masterplan, which probably isn't as cool as it sounds, considering how this show likes the throw big words around that have no real meaning.

So much for the blackup plan.....

You'd think that Sunrise was playing the race card and all by killing off the sole black Knights of Rounds who's supposedly able to go toe to toe with Bismarck in under 30 seconds of her appearance, but nope, this is what happens when you have a team of gynophobics as writers. Let's see, they let Luciano live for more than 2 episodes, killed off his Valkryie squad just as fast as Dorothea, and allowed Gino to survive Jesusaku's onslaught. This pattern's pretty obvious to everyone now, I guess. Either that, or they're trying to cut down costs in this episode by not having to come with mecha designs for the two now deceased female pilots, even if Pizza Hut decided to sponsor them again.

Even Moenica wasn't spared. Moenica.... I just noticed she was voiced by Yuko Goto, which probably spelt her death a long time ago.

I confess. Even though I had never liked Suzaku, I was totally blown away by his slice the opponent into half one hit kill technique which had me squealing like a 14 year old fanboy playing FFVIII and watching Odin appear on the battlefield for the first time. Bismarck never stood a chance.

The QUALITY in this episode is simply astounding, despite, as mentioned earlier, Pizza Hut's decision to become sponsors again. Where on Earth has the budget gone to? Cornelia's looking awfully cool here, that judging from the nine square panel you see above, you'd think that this was Hollywood Squares: Code Geass edition, participated by nine Cornelia lookalikes, which sadly bear little resemblance to the real Princess. Wonder if the resident Cornelia onee-sama fanboy noticed?

The Emperor's new clothes! Look at that bitchin' headgear that would make even ZUN proud, that panty moistening hand wave which puts Queen Elizabeth's to shame. I have a sudden urge to rape Lelouch's hat and jizz all over it.

Well, excuse me for ruining the one moment that Kallen x Lulu fans have waited over 40 episodes for. Let's face it, the kiss had no emotions to it and was more an kick in the groin for the supporters of this pairing more than anything else, even if it was to bid farewell. Like how these girls who represent the fanbase here have reacted, Lelouch's liplock with Suzaku is by far more exciting.

The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I am actually dead, but the Sunrise Necromancers brought me back to life.

Just like some celebrity who announces their retirement only make a a comeback due to popular demand, Nunnally decides to give showbiz one last shot, this time as her brother's nemesis. Dun dun dun! Either way it's hilarious that Nunnally decides to go against Lelouch, probably after being fed with Schneizel's lies and half truths. And here I thought only the Elevens were stupid. Silly girl, how do you fight against something you can't see? Unless of course, they pull a Nightmare of Nunnally on us.

You see what I see? Disregarding the fact they had positioned so nicely for the cameras, watching the 5 of them standing in line with different costumes made it as though they would suddenly go:

Finally, if there's anyone out there who felt Lelouch was being a bigger douchebag than ever before, you could perhaps take this into consideration:

While this hardly queals the fact that he is indeed an asshole, there should be more than this to his charade. And if he's not trolling, then he's just going for that Celestial Being anarchy thing in order to unify the world through hatred and rid the world of him and Britannia. The only anamoly now, I guess, would be Nunally's "unforeseen" revival.

Schneizel doesn’t have to lie to Nunnally. Imagine if you were told that your older brother (regardless of whether you actually have one) basically killed thousands of people and was one of the most infamous people on the planet, and that he had done it ALL FOR YOUR SAKE. And also that his best friend and one of the people you’re closest to, who is now working as your brother’s right-hand man, killed 35 million people in a single instant.

Still don’t know why they nuked (well, “F.L.E.I.J.A.ed”) Pendragon, though. I mean, it kind of makes sense, from the standpoint of psychological warfare, but you’d think that Schneizel would go after military targets first rather than ones that are probably primarily civilian. (Then again, I don’t know what Britannia’s infrastructure is like, so for all I know, Pendragon was a large base for the Britannian army as well as being the capital city of Britannia.)
