Announced at the 2008 Eastern Japan Toys and Trade Fair held yesterday, CCP Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Bandai Namco, unveiled a lineup of Macross Frontier themed RC cars which will be out in stores soon. What an ingenious way to reinvigorate a dying generation of toys! More after the jump.

As you can see, this fully customized Subaru Impreza WRX packs as much bling bling as Ranka’s (ﾉゝ∀･)~キラ☆ and is sure to make the owner the talk among otakusof town! Okay, fine, so it’s just an ordinary radio controlled car with pretty stickers plastered all over. But hey, that’s what marketing is all about!
Priced at an affordable 3,770 Yen, I’m screaming TAKE MY MONEY! TAKE IT ALL! at the top of my lungs, but alas, it’s only available through Amazon.jp, notorious for not shipping these sort of merchandise(toys) outside of Japan. As such, I’m sounding off my anguish with equal effort:

You could always buy Macross F stickers and put them on your own toy cars.
And your postal office has no intermediary (or whatever you call those) services? You can try to see if there are some online. They will bid and ship for you.

The cars are a good idea.
