Anyway, the betrayal, while inevitable came off a bit too quickly and underwhelming, since I didn't expect the Black Knights to turn coat in half an episode. Then there's the discrepancies like how they made a pact with Zero back in season one to follow him to hell and back so long as they are liberated from Britannia, which makes their treachery somewhat contradictory. Well, that's Sunrise writings for you! Speaking of which, I wonder who Rakshata is going to side with now, since all she's really concerned with is building fabulous mecha and lying on sofas all day long, to which only Zero can fulfill, and I sure hope so, since our hero's going to be needing a brand new pimpin' ride to face off against Charles in what seems to be the final arc.
Also, normally I don't talk about previews but I just had to when I saw this:

OMG Penguin Patrol is fearsome!
I noticed that Lelouch managed to dig Rolo’s grave pretty quickly. However, he didn’t have any tools. Last time he tried to dig a hole (with Euphie), he got like… 6 inches deep before his wood didn’t work. Hmm, that sounds a lot dirtier than I intially anticipated.
Nina is upset now, but when she finds out she only killed 11s, she’ll feel much better. Suzaku just standing around for the whole episode was a strange sight. I expected him to start running up the walls of the crater into a triple spin/roundhouse, but it never came.
What is going to happen when the new head of the OotBK stumbles into Lelouch’s room and finds slave CC?

I’m more worried about the deaths of Kandi and Khan.
The betrayal of the OBK was just pathetic writing. Really? They ALL completely turned on the one person that made all their success possible, on the words of the enemies commander and the guy banging another of the enemy? That was just pathetic. I hope Li Xingke toasts all their asses.
I totally want that achievment.
I’m sure that you recall that in the rule of two the apprentice kills the master.
I just hope the penguins don’t start singing or surfing, although a Morgan Freeman narration would be fine.

The Penguin Army panel almost murdered me. Lelouch Vi Britannia, the Commander in Chief of 50,000 red army penguin soldiers! LOL!
The guy to the right appeared briefly in the first season. He was the leader of the local resistance who was manipulated by Lelouch into a battle against Cornelia’s army during her debut. Unfortunately, the guy was a first class wimp who bailed out on Lelouch once Cornelia’s Glousters start pwning. In spite of all odds, he wasn’t geassed – although one of his underlings was.
If I have to take an educational guess, I’d say that Schenizel obtained those geass related information from the Agency that Villetta was in charged of. After all, it was apparently no great secret that the Emperor commissioned a bunch of brainless cannon fodders to be in charge of dog tagging Lelouch if even Suzaku had access to the Agency’s "secret" base.
In all frankness, everyone within the Order reserved some doubts about Zero’s reliability since pretty much from the beginning. The fact that Lelouch bailed out on them during the first Black Rebellion certainly didn’t help. Tamaki’s opinion is easily influenced by pretty words. Ougi is an idiot. Toudou is in it just for Japanese liberation. The only betrayal that made no sense to me was Diethard’s act of treachery. By the account of his own words, he’s in the Order merely for the sake of Zero. Does that mean he’s gonna quit the Order in episode 20? Meh, it’s Sunrise. Human logic is effortlessly ignored for the sake of Sunrise logic. On the other hand, the Order is pretty much doomed. Zero is all that is holding the Order, the Chinese Federation and the remanants of E.U. together. Without Zero, the Order is merely a heavily armed group of poorly led terrorists without international backing. Currently, I am under the assumption that Schenizel agreed to hand over Japan. The question is: is Area 11 really his to give?
Well, that’s the end of Rollo, who honestly didn’t accomplish much in spite of his status as a major character (except for killing Shirely and save Sunrise money by laying off an overly pricy seiyu and increase Sunrise’s audience base to include rabu rabu yaoi fangirls). Hopefully with his absence, there will be more Kallen and C.C. time. I am not amused by the lack of C.C. time in R2. NOT AT ALL!

Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated… I am still alive.
I felt no pity or remorse for Rolo’s death only regret and rage that Rolo had a clean death and that Lulu failed to strangle Rolo with Shirley’s cell phone strap.
Now that Suzaku has gone nuts let us hope that he kills more people for this cast is still too large and there are many many who deserve death.

I find it weird that the Black Knights decided to shoot Lelouch on the spot even though Schneizel clearly asked them to surrender him over, which makes them a lot dumber than I had anticipated. Well, just like you said, even if Area 11 was to be returned, it won’t take long for Britannia to regain lost territory and eventually reclaim it. Definitely, needs more C.C
