While anti-loli pr0n laws have been around for quite some time, it wasn't until an uproar by the Japanese UNICEF branch urging Tokyo to beef up its laws by banning child pornography in manga comics, animated films and computer games that brought this issue into the limelight yet again. Even then, Japan has really taken that notion into consideration, as seen from the abundant loli b& material still easily obtainable through various channels.

Really making it srs biz is the U.K government that has implemented a new law that not only bans possession of such illicit material, but also making it illegal to even look at images of "extreme porn" regardless of whether there is adult consent or if the content is real or immaterial.

At the consultation stage for this law, some Police Forces cited manga as material they would like outlawed. Manga is an essentially Japanese art form, which can cover some quite adult themes. “Tentacle porn” and abduction by aliens are common. Crucially some of the images include individuals whose age is indeterminate or seriously young. As Home Secretary, John Reid expressed his outrage that manga and similar material was not illegal.

Go ahead, tell the Bobbies that come knocking on your door that these girls are 17.

Whilst this will make nasty stuff like lolicon illegal it could also get you on the sex offenders register just for having a couple of Evangelion doujins or even having some hentai images cached by your browser from browsing 4chan.

Talk about royally screwed.

Another one of those instances that make you go "THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS".Well damn, we knew Britannia was evil, but this is really inhumane. Judging from the article, they're much more concerned about hunting down possible/potential pedos more than anything else, rather than actually protecting the children, but hey, what do I know. Either way, you can always come to this 3rd world country of mine, where the government is far too busy with other pressing issues, like cracking down on bloggers "spreading lies" about them than enact a similar law anytime soon. Probably not until they read this post anyway. Also, I would love to post some loli to finish off this post, but I really wouldn't want to see my UK readers getting in trouble. Even pedobear is staying clear off this.
